In this article I want to take the time to talk about the three things that you have to know in order to become a successful marketer. Knowing these three things will allow you to not only become better as a marketer, but allow you to connect better with your customers and their needs in order o make sales.

The first thing you have to know when you're starting out in internet marketing is that no one is going to help you with anything. Eventually when something isn't working out you'll make the mistake of going into a forum in order to get some answers. Ironically make money online forums will not help you, the marketers in those forums only post what they've to in order to be able to post their own links at the bottom of their posts. In most cases you'll get a sarcastic gesture or a moronic answer that will just tick you off until your at your wits end.

The second thing to know is that it doesn't matter what you decide to market, it only matters how you decide to market it. You can sell the most useless product in the world to anybody if you just word it right. You know you worded it right when you read it and are convinced that you can't live without it. It also doesn't matter how long your description is, if it looks like it's running a little long and you don't think customers will take the time to read it all highlight the important factors and your customer will read around the highlighted text. In most cases customers will begin to read only the highlighted text, become interested, and read the rest all the way through.

The third and final thing to know when starting out as an internet marketer is that you have to appeal to your target audience. i've written a couple of articles exclusively on this idea, but i'll say it again in this article. Your target audience is the audience that you predict will be your biggest profit contributor. What you have to do as the marketer is to develop your site and description in a way that appeals best to that particular group.

With these three steps alone you can make a great deal of money in a relatively short period of time, I would know this first hand since i've been using this idea as my basic building blocks for my own sites for years now and have had enormous success with it.
